Fashion Comparison Between Princess Diana And Kate Middleton

British Royalty will have a century wedding that Prince William will marry the commoner Kate Middleton.

Facing this new fairy tale of “Prince and Cinderella”, people keep suspicious. Just because in 30 years ago, Diana, the mother of Prince William also the former princess of Wales once presented a similar fairy tale to the world. But the reality ended this fairy tale cruelly together with her life.

Actually, Diana's story should rather be called as “legendary” than “the end of a fairy tale”. Her taste, fashion style, behavior as well as her kindness let "Diana" became a synonym of British princess.

As the second generation "Cinderella princess", can Kate Middleton transcend Diana, or become the second Diana? Even for wedding dresses, will Kate bring surprise to everyone? We just do not know the answer. But, at least in fashion, we have seen Kate Middleton's transformation from the girl wearing jerseys, growing into the elegant lady. Kate is the copy of Diana’s classic and elegant fashion style with giving up her “girl next to door” personality. Diana is lovely because she is Diana. But Kate still needs to find herself from the princess's identity.

Gorgeous red and black collisions
Eye-catching gorgeous red and black collisions are Diana favorite. Kate seems to get inspiration from Diana. But Diana’s broadly H shape shoulder style is not suitable for Kate figure, close-fitting accept waist style is Kate dishes.

Classic matching of black and white
Black and white is the most classic most formal mode, basically won't go wrong. Diana was good at manage white and black very well. The similar dressing let Kate get rid of her immature character to appear dignified and confident.

Elegant royal blue
Blue is the colour of European royalty, noble and grave, also happened to cooperate with the Diana's blond and smoothly added her a few charm. And in order to appear in solemn ceremonies and engagement, Kate also choose dark blue suit or similar dresses for quite several times, but turned to be aged because of too inflexible style and brown hair.

Hat winning
Hat culture in Britain has a very long history tradition. A hat is not only a kind of indispensable accessories for lady, according to the noble tradition; hat is also symbolic to social identity. Kate also prefers hats like Diana. The accessory let her become chic immediately from ordinary dressing up.

See how that Diana wore!

Say no to conservative
Enter the royal was conservative first? Diana's answer is: the style and dignified, detail design feeling, bold colors pursuit, pattern in wide range. She wore a suit of bright ball pattern when visiting Japan really shocked people. But now it had become one of her icon.

Have own fashion style
Why can Diana become fashion idol? Not because she had too many clothing, but because she knows how to establish her own style. Find the suitable for dressing, and continue decades keeping for her hairstyle instead of chasing the trend.

Don't lose yourself
Princess is one of the royalty decorations? Diana said, no. Princess is not a Barbie but has her own personality. Except for suits at formal occasions, we can see her personality from different fashion. Agile, simple, boyish, sunshine, sports... Princess is also a human being with emotion like ordinary people. That’s why we all like Diana.

Last but not least, we would like to say: Kat, blind imitation can not be Diana. Only wearing with own personality can make you a fashion Icon.

Project Runway’ designers create wedding gowns for Kate Middleton

Following the upcoming royal wedding between ‘commoner’ Kate Middleton and United Kingdom’s Prince William, the media coverage about this event goes everywhere. It seems like all anyone cares about this event and especially what will the future princess wear on this century wedding.

We’ve heard from designers who are denying they’re making the dress, from designers who wish they were making the dress, to designers who had their hand in designing wedding dresses for previous Royal Wedding parties. Of course, there is no exception for the leading program about fashion. Now it is time for ‘Project Runway’ alumni from seasons past to have their say about the wedding gown.

More than 50 ‘Project Runway’ designers from each previous season all submitted their fantasy sketches for how they would dress Kate Middleton for her big day. The sketches ranged from Daniel Franco’s Swarovski encrusted Chantilly lace creation with an 11 foot train to bridal designer Heidi Elnora’s clean and simple obi belted dress. ‘Season Six’ designer Nicholas Putvinski’s design even has the future Queen strutting down the aisle bedecked with gold and silver feathers.

After all, five of the designers; Emilio Sosa, Jonathan Kayne, Leanne Marshall, Irina Shabayeva, and Nick Verreos were selected to have their fantasy sketches turned into actual wedding gowns that were unveiled Monday, April 18th on the Today Show. They are just amazing. These beautiful wedding gowns are now being available online for a very limited time. Proceeds from the sale are being donated to charity.

It is extremely encouraging that we can shop wedding dresses from the internet. Online stores such as www.shopsimple.com, www.amazon.com brings us many convenience and surprises. Whatever Kate choose and wear, we do believe it will be a stunning outfit to blow everyone away. Let us wait and see.

How The Royal Wedding Dress Will Inspire Bridal Trend

The upcoming royal wedding makes sure to be one of a big event in 2011. On April 29th, U.K. will attract eyes from all over the world. Nothing is to be special more than Prince William and Kate Middleton getting married. It will mark the beginning of many bridal trends.

Brian Worley, the wedding and event planner gave his point of view. When I produce and design a wedding, I always try to impress upon my clients that their wedding is "their" wedding, not their mom's or their grandmother's. But as royalty, Prince William and Kate have a much harder time making it their own. Their wedding will bring a return to more traditional elements -- things that have become less important over the years, like classic attire and engraved invitations.

Without a doubt, the wedding dress will set the bar for the rest of the year, and will become the defining look for 2011. Princess Diana's dress for the royal wedding of Windsor was, and still is, a topic of conversation 30 years later. Her iconic gown was very much the style of the 80's. Wedding, prom and bridesmaid dresses of that time were all influenced by the design. It ushered in a decade of taffeta, puffed sleeves and layers of crinoline tulle under a full skirt, and helped make Diana one of the leading fashion icons of her day.

Kate Middleton will do the exact same thing. Her wedding dresses will definitely be replicated, much like celebrities’ Oscar dresses, allowing any bride to feel like a real princess on her wedding day.

It was said that Diana’s dress was copied and available at the market only hours after the royal wedding took place. Therefore, the wedding dress designer was kept as a secret strictly until the wedding day. Kate’s dress will have the same effect.

If you are going to be a bride this year, will you wish to own a same wedding gown like Kate’s? I think majority answers will be yes. And I am sure that online shops will be the first time than bouquets to release the princess wedding dress. On April 29th, you may find ShopSimple or eBay with many similar dresses. Just be patient, let us wait and expect this grand bridal occasion.
